    Taos: January 9th-14th
NAASF will return to Taos Ski Valley January 9th -14th, 2022.  There have been major changes since the last time we visited Taos.  First of all The Blake Hotel has opened and will be the center of our stay.  Secondly, as we all know we will have COVID protocols we need to follow.  There may be a few other “hurdles”, but we will have a great race week with fun parties and a great race venue!

We have some very onerous restrictions for this ski week.  The details for these restrictions are laid out below, but this is the short version.

If you would like to use the NAASF rates, you must make or cancel your reservations and/or registrations by these dates:

    • Lodging Reservations and/or Cancellations at The Blake – December10th
    • Purchase Lift Tickets – December 26th
    • Pay NAASF Registration to Taos Ski Valley – December 26th
    • After these dates you can still attend but at the public rates (not the NAASF rates) and any cancellations are subject to steep cancellation policies.
REGISTRATION (THIS IS IMPORTANT…..read it closely!!!)

Registration for AA team members and guests is a THREE STEP PROCESS.

    1. Go to www.aaskisnowboard.com and register with OUR club.  (this lets OUR club know you are coming)
    2. All NAASF attendees must register with NAASF. Go to www.naasf.com (this lets NAASF know you are coming AND helps “Speed” you for racing, if you are a racer)
    3. Not later than Dec 26th  (if not done by Dec 26th you cannot attend parties)Register with the resort and pay your NAASF registration fee TO THE RESORT by following this link. All Registrations must be completed not later than December 26th.  December 26th is the Food and Beverage Cut off for ordering food.  Anyone that registers after December 26th will be allowed to come and race but will NOT be allowed to attend the parties.

    COVID Protocol

The resort requires “Proof of Vaccination” for everyone to attend any indoor activity (dinners, restaurants, parties).

    • ALL restaurants require "Proof of Vaccination" AND a reservation.
    • "Proof of Vaccination" is NOT required to attend the ski week or race.
    • If you are NOT Vaccinated your only dining options are take away.
    • The resort will offer un-vaccinated attendees a take away dinner for the night of the Awards Dinner.

We requested Accommodation Options (proof of anti-bodies, proof of recovery, negative test prior to arrival, etc), but were told this is the protocol and no other accommodations would be offered.

Guests are asked to make their reservations by calling the Blake Reservations number

To get the NAASF Rate, they simply tell the reservationist that they are with NAASF.

NAASF currently has a block on ALL 80 rooms at The Blake.  To protect themselves The Blake has imposed DECEMBER 10th deadline for us to book rooms at NAASF Rates. After December 10th, NAASF members will be required to book at the public rate.

    Cancellation Policy

    • 100% refundable UNTIL December 10th
    • After December 10th no refunds UNLESS room booked on Public Rate

Lift Tickets must be purchased 14 days (Dec 26th) in advance in order to receive the NAASF rate.

You can purchase lift tickets at the same number that you make The Blake Reservations  888-432-5232

    • Peak Adult: $108 Friday-Sun
    • Non-Peak Adult: $72 Mon-Thursday
    • Day of pricing is $175, so order your lift tickets at least 14 days in advance.

Taos Ski Valley requires a reservation for IKON Pass Holders.  It is easy to go on the IKON App and make your reservation.  Please do so early to avoid any complications.

We are organizing a 56 Passenger shuttle bus round trip to Taos Tuesday night for the team dinner.  It is first come first served and inviting other teams to participate.  You will have the opportunity to purchase during registration.  price is $31 per person.

There are currently NO SHUTTLES to/from Taos Ski Valley.  Private and Rental cars will be the primary means of getting to/from Taos Ski Valley.

Here are a few of the “Drive Times” for you to consider

    • Santa Fe – 2 hours
    • Albuquerque – 2 hours & 45 min
    • Colorado Springs – 3 hours & 40 min
    • Durango – 4 hours

There are a variety of “dinning” options in the Taos Ski Valley village.  Currently “proof of vaccination” and reservations are required in all restaurants for indoor dinning.   Takeout and outdoor dining options are available.

Gulcin Gilbert lives locally in Taos.  She will be TED (The Event Director)….affectionately referred to as the “Room Mom”.  She is exploring options in the resort AND options of chartering busses and heading to the town of TAOS for an evening.

When details are finalized, she will let you know.

We WILL have parties at Taos Ski Valley, however masks are required for all indoor events.  Remember ONLY vaccinated people are allowed into the parties.

We will have the yearend awards for the 2019 seasons will during this week.

The THEME Party will be “Mask-A-Raid Ball"…..wear your favorite Ball Gown or Tux and wear a special Face Mask (COVID Protocol requires face coverings indoors)....let see some awesome costumes.

Be Safe !!!  Have Fun !!!
