Greetings Eagle Team,
I know a lot you have expressed interest to come and join us skiing,
snowboarding, competing, and partying. Now is the time. I hope to see
you there. Anyone that is interested in attending training camp,
please let me know. Regretfully, the team has lost three vital members to other carriers.
Rookie of the year and champion snowboarder, David Pelton is now
employed by Delta. He says he is still going to hang with us, but
we'll see how long that lasts. Our other team captain, A racer, Eric
Fielding, has recently been hired by Airtran, and will start class mid
November. Eric has been a competitive racer since the 2004 season, he
was always supportive and helpful to his team, and he is a great
dancer. For a short time we were able to claim AA skier, Louise McKee
as our own. She is a true competitor. She raced on the A team,
snowboard course, and the 10k Nordic at the international meet. She is
now back where she belongs, and hopefully happy in the right seat.
Congratulations and all the best to all of you!!
On a more positive team note, and thankfully, we still have our
fearless and amazing A racer Bjorn Vandug. He had a great season last
year on the course. Off the slopes, he has been very busy in the
marketing area of NAASF, and he somehow managed to nab an awesome
woman. He is engaged to Carmen Gustafson, so congrats and best wishes
to the two of them!
See you soon,
Candace
